

Enrollment in or recent completion of an undergraduate or graduate program.With any team, there will be opportunities to work on crossover projects. Responsibilities will include drafting content and visuals for social media, assisting with the collection and sending of media clips, monitoring press coverage of the Committee, designing graphics, and undertaking various research and writing projects. The Communications and Engagement teams seek to advance the Committee’s work and message with members of the media and the public. Legislative interns will often collaborate with the Policy team.
CONGRESSIONAL BUDGET OFFICE INTERNSHIP PLUS
Previous experience on Capitol Hill is a plus but not required. Responsibilities will include attending committee hearings tracking House and Senate floor activity researching policymakers’ positions drafting blogs, memos, outreach to Capitol Hill, and summaries of legislation and scheduling meetings, attending meetings, and taking notes. The Legislative team conducts outreach to policymakers and their staff, working with them to advance fiscally responsible policies. Policy team interns will often collaborate with the Legislative team. An interest in fiscal policy is vital to success in this position. Responsibilities will include contributing to publications on the website, such as our blog The Bottom Line conducting research related to team-specific needs on topics like taxes and entitlement programs attending events in the DC policy community and assisting other team members on policy-centric projects. The Policy team researches and publishes original research and analysis on fiscal issues. There will also be opportunities for interns to work with other departments on crossover projects.
